The ROI Calculator tells you whether your marketing spend is actually making money. Input what you spent and what you earned, and it calculates your return on investment as a percentage, your net profit, and your cost-to-revenue ratio.
It also shows a payback period -- how many months until your investment breaks even. This matters for campaigns with long sales cycles where revenue comes in over time, not all at once.
Most founders track spend but not return. They know they spent $5K on ads last month but can't say whether it produced $3K or $30K in revenue. This calculator forces that math into the open. If your ROI is below 100%, you're losing money. If it's above 300%, you're in good shape. Between 100-300% depends on your margins and growth goals.

Marketing ROI = ((Revenue from marketing - Marketing cost) / Marketing cost) x 100. If you spent $10,000 and generated $35,000 in revenue, your ROI is 250%. This means you earned $2.50 for every $1 spent.
A 5:1 ratio (500% ROI) is considered strong for most businesses. A 2:1 ratio (200%) is break-even after accounting for cost of goods. Below 2:1 usually means the campaign isn't profitable unless you're optimizing for long-term customer value.
Both. Overall ROI tells you if your total marketing investment is working. Per-channel ROI tells you where to shift budget. A channel with 800% ROI deserves more spend. A channel with 50% ROI needs to be fixed or cut.
